SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2006

NationalGreetings.com, the web’s premiere greeting card store that sends cards by U.S. postal mail, is delighted to announce its “Outreach to the Troops” campaign. Recognizing how important it is for military personnel to stay in touch with their family and friends, NationalGreetings.com wants those who serve to know they can send traditional greetings cards through the U.S. mail simply by using the internet and NationalGreetings.com.

Co-founders and mother and son team of NationalGreetings.com, Lori Brookes and Randy Bragdon, hatched the outreach campaign. Bragdon notes, “So often, it’s not easy for a military service person to drive to a greeting card store, purchase a great greeting card, find stamps, and get the greeting card actually mailed. With NationalGreetings.com, all that person needs is internet access and a credit card.” After logging in, NationalGreeting.com members can create a greeting card by uploading pictures and a signature or by selecting one from the hundreds of pre-designed cards. Typing a personal message, selecting when and to whom the card is mailed, and sending a gift card from stores such as Starbucks, Home Depot, or Macys are also popular options. Unlike numerous other online greeting card companies which deliver “e-cards” to email addresses, NationalGreetings.com sends a tangible, traditional card to recipients’ U.S. mailbox.

“It truly is a unique way for our service men and women, whether stationed out at sea, anywhere in the world or within the United States, to maintain good relationships,” adds Brookes. “Everyone loves getting a greeting card in the mail, especially when it comes from a loved one.”

NationalGreetings.com’s “Outreach to the Troops” campaign includes an extensive communications effort through media and military partners. Throughout the fall, visitors who sign up on the website will receive a free greeting card to send to anyone within the United States.

About NationalGreetings.com

NationalGreetings.com was launched when two of its principle founders, Randy Bragdon and Lori Brookes, set out to find the optimum method of staying in contact with the important people in their lives.

Today, their greeting card company, NationalGreetings.com, is the clear leader of the industry. Managed by a team of professionals from a variety of industries including print, e-commerce, greeting card, and finance, NationalGreetings.com’s mission is to help others achieve the dream the company’s founders have–strengthening relationships one greeting card at a time.

From its founding, NationalGreetings.com has had at its core a charitable component. A part of the revenue from each card is given to one of many worthy children’s charities across the country under the “Operation Kids” organization. Founded in 1999, Operation Kids helps sustain multiple children’s charities by co-branding them as “OK Charities” after a rigorous review process. Operation Kids’ approved charities include Best Buddies, 100% For Kids, Operation Smile, and National McGruff House Network.
